I hope the viewer finds a measure of the joy I feel while creating a painting.  Every work is a challenge and a learning experience.  When I am frustrated with a painting, all I have to do is find the fellowship of other artist or read the thoughts of the masters to understand that I am not alone, that every artist follows the same path.  Different grades and curves and side paths, but we all share the common desire to create and communicate through our paintings.

End of Summer
Busy spring and early summer with mostly non-art related travels and activities.  It was wonderful to get back into the studio and paint.  Every time I have breaks in my painting routinue, it amazes me when I pick up a brush and instead of it feeling a part of my hand, it is this alien "thing" that won't stroke the way I want.  I have picked up paintings from the West Baton Rouge Museum show (hope you got by to see it, very nice show and wonderful staff).  I will be colecting two more paintings from Elizabethan Gallery on Jefferson Highway the middle of August.  I plan to show some of my art at the Polo & Pearls event, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday, August 23rd, in St. Francisville.  I will be on the veranda at the Bank of St. Francisville, Commerce Street, across from Birdman Books & Coffee.  Also I will participate in the Zachary Art Crawl on Friday, September 26th, 5:30 til ?  I will be inside at the Bank of Zachary, 4743 Main Street.  Hope I see a lot of you.  Somewhere during the middle of this, I will be changing my artwork at Gallery at Main Street, Circa 1857 and McKnight's, so if you are interested in a painting, please contact me for location.
